Prints & Drawings
VIRTUALLY ON SHOW:
Until November 28, 2021
Fernando Zobel: Prints and Drawings is a virtual re-staging of the 2016 exhibition in time with the artist’s birth anniversary. The exhibition underscores how Zobel, a pioneer of Philippine non-objective and abstract painting, developed his own visual language by exploring how the basic line affected composition—creating movement, weight, and expression on a two-dimensional surface.
FROM THE SHOP:
Zobel. Contrapuntos explores the world of Fernando Zobel, Spanish-Filipino artist and founder of the Museum of Spanish Abstract Art in Cuenca. Through his works of art and intimate correspondences, we discover a mind that's vastly creatve and immensely profound. This book was printed in conjunction with the exhibition of the same title, which was one of the selected collateral events of the 2017 Venice Biennale.
