Description

This pair of circular ear ornaments feature granulations in the inner circle and rosette patterns on the outer circle. Set at the center of each ear ornament is a red stone, possibly garnet. This pair is similar to ear ornaments worn by a Visayan couple of nobility illustrated in the Boxer Codex, a 16th-century manuscript depicting the inhabitants of pre-Hispanic Philippines.
