Description

These elaborately worked hoop earrings are part of a burial ensemble believed to belong to an elite female, buried in Nabua, Camarines Sur.

Located in the highly volcanic Bicol region, Camarines is one of the many provinces of the Philippines with abundant gold mines. The tectonic movement and volcanic eruptions gather gold particles into larger, minable deposits.
