This bill was printed by the Mindanao Emergency Currency board shortly before the end of World War II. Even with the threat of persecution by the Japanese government, people used emergency currencies issued by provincial treasuries over Japanese Invasion Money due to severe depreciation and the continuous effort of Filipino guerrillas.
