A talk on the Artwork Restoration at the Saint Joseph the Worker Chapel
with Liliane “Tats” Manahan
9 June 2018, Saturday
Free with museum admission
A progress report of the ongoing restoration of the church’s structure and its bearing on Alfonso Ossorio’s largest work, the mural entitled The Last Judgement (more popularly known as “The Angry Christ”), the controversy that surrounded it when it was painted, the complexity of its theme and paint materials, versus the straightforward and fairly simple theme and restoration process for the chapel’s mosaics.
