Using a Kaleidoscope as a prop, create mixed images using any kind of camera.
Kaleidoscope and Kite-Aerial Photographer Gerome Soriano will be conducting a workshop catered to teens from ages 15-19. The workshop will teach the participants how to use a kaleidoscope as a prop and as a filter to create images with different sides.
Techniques on shooting caustics and refractography will also be taught and explored in the workshop.
About the facilitator
Gerome Soriano is a visual artist who lives in Manila, Philippines. He graduated with the Best Thesis award for his Kite Aerial Photography work in the Fine Arts program of the University of Santo Tomas and continues to explore this art form. He worked with 98-B collaboratory and is currently working with Dito: Bahay ng Sining, a theater art space, and as an apprentice of another contemporary artist, Mark Salvatus.
