How to Develop your Story and Pitching
29,30 September and 5,6,7 October 2016
Mag-kwento, ka! Stories bring great opportunities to those who master the craft. Whether it’s to get a grant to make a film (you need a story to get one!), or win in literary competitions (they’re suckers for stories), or pitch a story for a commercial (winner!), or report in class (ang galing!), or just wanting to impress your date (uyyy!), you must know how to break that story. Learn how to develop content, master storytelling techniques, create believable characters, draw up hugot lines, and pitch your story right. Remember, stories sell! May kwento ka, di bah? I-sulat mo na, beh!
Learn from the master mentor who has trained a generation of film story tellers—from indie filmmakers in the Philippines to young, prizewinning directors in Southeast Asia. He’s a film prof and a docu filmmaker. And he’s a film historian, too, telling the grandest story of them all: the epic tale of the Filipino nation told through cinema.
