WATER COLOR PORTRAITS

August 27, 2016

Php 3,000

Watercolor painting is about the perfect harmony of colors and water on a piece of paper that creates a concrete image or an abstract feeling. It is an extremely old task that dates back perhaps to the cave paintings of paleolithic Europe and has been used for manuscript illustration since at least Egyptian times. Learn how to portray persons and their personalities using this very delicate medium.

Eileen Bondoc-Escueta’s first exhibit was in 1990 at the Holiday Inn Manila showcasing oriental paintings and scrolls called xieyi or free-style Chinese painting and brushwork learned from Professor C’ai Zhen Hui of China. Since 1994, she has been conducting painting classes at the Ayala Museum and it was the same year she held her first solo exhibit called The Magic of the Brush. She has been exhibiting watercolor masterpieces at the Ayala Museum for several occasions. She recently exhibited at the Artistspace entitled Waterdance. She is also one of the founding members of Makati Artist Guild and a member of several local artist groups.
